Some cosmologists have speculated that the Big Bang is cyclical – ie it’s what
happens after the universe finishes expanding and comes back into a point after
which it bangs out again. Roger Penrose published evidence for this
interpretation in the cosmic background radiation mapping. Now someone has found
evidence of our universe having been ‘bruised’ by an impact from another
universe. Ie that we might be one of many universe bubbles which impinge on each
other.

ther-universes/
Note that this isn’t brand new news. It came out in 2010 but I’ve only just spotted it!
I am wondering if a universe could pass through ours without us noticing it
much. Maybe the dark matter is really such a happening? (not a serious
suggestion but it is interesting to speculate.) I’ve heard it say that when our
GALAXY (note change of scale) is ‘hit’ by another that most if not all the mass
of both will pass by without touching because the distances between all the
bodies are so far apart. Perhaps the same would happen with universe collisions.
Isn’t it marvellous for us mere dots in the cosmos to be able to contemplate
such massive concepts?
